1st Wortley Roadhouse meet-up!

Monday December 3, saw London's first snow storm and the first meet-up of Knit-London. Unfortunately the weather kept more than a few people away. Just the same 7 knitters and one watcher was more than the staff at the Roadhouse expected. We knitters are a hardy bunch!!

From left to right:
Betty, Ellen's friend (who's name I can't remember), Ellen, Jenny and Bogey's Granma!

But then the promise of knitting and beer was just too much for some of us to take!
From left to right: Betty, Ellen's friend who's name I can't remember, Ellen, Jenny and Bogey's Granma! Note the food and the glasses of Stella! Hmm, beer, food, knitting and good company, who could ask for more?!

Left to right: Ellen, Jenny, Bogey's Granma, Marion, Reina, Betty and Ellen's friend.

We had lots of room so we spread out and took over the room. The weather outside was crap and it continued to snow, but we all had a great time chatting, eating and getting to know each other. Considering that the evening started at 7pm, most of us were there until almost 10pm.

I can't wait until the next meet up on January 7th! Be sure to mark it on your calendars and tell your friends!! Hopefully we will have better weather, but I'm sure that some will turn out just the same. A big thank you to the ladies that braved the snow and came out to join us!!
